Check Here Before Buying – Pot Size Matters...Not all websites offer the same. Plants in a 2-litre pot have twice the root system of a P9 or 1 litre pot.
Flower bulbs deserve a place in every garden! They’ll add a bright splash of colour and interest to garden borders and can be incorporated into pots and container displays without taking up too much space. They even work well in lawns to naturalise and beautify grassed areas.
The best time to plant bulbs differs for spring flowering bulbs and summer flowering bulbs:
Examples of Spring flowering bulbs (to plant in autumn) – Allium, Anemone, Bluebell, Crocus, Daffodil, Fritillaria, Hyacinth, Iris, Muscari, Narcissus, Ranunculus, Snowdrops (variety specific) and Tulip.
Examples of Summer-Autumn flowering bulbs (to plant in spring) – Begonia, Crocosmia, Crocus (variety specific), Dahlia, Gladioli, Lilies, Nerines, Ponerorchis and Tree Lily.

Bulbs require a well drained soil to succeed. Avoid planting in cold, wet soils, otherwise they are likely to rot. Hardy bulbs, such as Daffodils and Tulips, prefer a warm, sunny site, whereas bulbs from cooler climates, such as Cardiocrinum, prefer a cooler, moist site with dappled shade. Ideally, plant bulbs as soon as possible after purchase – they’ll be shipped to you when the time is right to get them in the ground straight away. Otherwise, they can be stored in the refrigerator until you’re ready to plant.
