We want to make the delivery of your order an easy and hassle-free experience. Our couriers are the only ones we’ve found that handle plants with as much tender loving care as we do.
Orders are usually dispatched 7-10 working days following receipt of your order. In many cases we dispatch sooner than this although during busy periods or when an item or items on your order are out of stock and we are ordering them from a supplier then please allow up to 30 days.
Once dispatched your order should in most cases be with you the following day. Nearly all the information you need regarding ordering can be found further down this page but if you need more help feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When placing your order you will be given the option of what happens if you are not in when your order is delivered. The options are as follows:
No, please DO NOT leave - The courier will take the delivery back to the depot and leave a card with instruction on how to proceed, they may attempt re-delivery if requested or you may be required to collect the order from a local depot.
Yes, OK to leave with a neighbour only - The courier will try to leave your order with a neighbour, this might not necessarily be your immediate next door neighbour. You can specify a specific neighbour in the 'Additional Information' field in Step 3 of the checkout process.
Yes, OK to leave in a safe place only - The courier will try to leave your order in a safe place somewhere on your property, this will be at the courier's discretion and may return the order to the depot if they feel necessary. You can specify a specific safe place in the 'Additional Information' field in Step 3 of the checkout process.
Yes, OK to leave with a neighbour or in a safe place - See the previous two options, the courier will use their discretion to try and leave your order.

Our larger specimen conifers, bamboos and other larger potted plants or large volume orders of smaller pot sizes will require a pallet delivery, priced from £45.00 per pallet or £60.00 if you live in one of the post code areas listed above. Orders requiring delivery on a pallet will in most cases be flagged during checkout although in some circumstances the need for a pallet delivery will not arise until we come to dispatch an order. If this is the case we will contact you to make arrangements.
As a rough guide plants in 20 litre pots will need a pallet delivery as will 100+ 2 litre pots.
We highly recommend that someone be home/onsite to receive a pallet delivery. Our pallet company require two different contact numbers for the onsite contact. Access must be suitable for a large vehicle access, minimum 3 metres wide and 4.5 meters high. Pallet deliveries are classed as 'Kerb Side' and can only be made to addresses where clear access can be gained (e.g. pallets of plants cannot be delivered to upper floor flats or premises where restricted access does not allow delivery vehicles). Even if your order is not flagged as requiring a pallet delivery we reserve the right to send out your order on a pallet if it is a significant volume of items or weight above our standard carriers limits. We can only ship items up to 2 metres tall on a pallet, if the plants you have ordered are above this then where applicable will be cut to the required height, this will not affect the health of the plant.
We are currently unable to deliver via pallet to the Highland and Island postcodes lisited above.

Small Item Delivery
Postage of smaller items such as bulbs and some of our chemicals, fertilisers and or sundry items start at £4.99. Orders containing more than 10 of these items may be charged at £6.99. Orders my be delivered by Royal Mail, Hermes, Fedex or another nominated courier depending on the variety and quantity of orders. We aim to deliver with 7-10 working days and while we usually deliver sooner than this it can take longer during busy periods or when items are out of stock. We will notify you by email on the day your bulbs are dispatched. If your bulbs do not arrive within the indicated time then please contact us.
When smaller items are purchased with other products they will be covered by the standard delivery charge.
What about Overseas?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to make deliveries outside of the UK at the present time.
We aim to deliver all orders within 7-10 working days if the plants you order are already in stock. If plants are out of stock when the order is placed (which is quite rare) the delivery time is around 21 days, but we will contact you to let you know. If you haven't heard from us within 10 days of ordering then please let us know as you may not have received our emails. Upon dispatch, we send out automated messages to inform you that your order will be with you the following day. It is important to contact us within 24 hours of the expected delivery date if your order does not arrive so we can track down the parcel before the plants perish.
To ensure any emails we send don't get picked up by a spam filter please add 'email@example.com' and 'firstname.lastname@example.org' to your safe senders list.
Unfortunately with our standard Fedex service we are unable to guarantee a specific time or time slot. Deliveries can be made anytime between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday (Excluding bank holidays).
Need your order in a hurry? Call our web sales team on 01782 502741 to enquire about next day delivery. Orders must be taken before 10am, excludes weekends, subject to resource and stock availability.
Deliveries of goods ordered through our Retail Garden Centre for local delivery are not subject to our online terms and conditions. Please contact the Garden Centre directly on 01782 502078.
Rowlinson Garden Products
All of our Rowlinson items come direct from the manufacturer and are free delivery. We do not keep any Rowlinson items in stock. Once Rowlinson receive your order they (or their courier) will contact you directly to arrange delivery of your product(s) and to ensure suitable access is available. It is vital that you enter the correct contact details on your order as if they are unable to contact you via email or telephone they will send out a letter which can obviously result in a delay to your order being delivered.
Please note that any other items on the order will incur a delivery charge and be dispatched separately from our nursery.
