Our large, cosy tea room is a welcoming haven of delicious food and excellent company. We offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a professional level of service. We have an excellent team who are always happy to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
We have a fantastic decked outdoor seating area adjacent to the tea room which offers al fresco dining with views over the garden centre plant area and out toward the Peak District and the Roaches. Our location on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorland is ideal for local walkers and we can provide an excellent pit stop along the way.
We take food seriously, which is why we take great care to source local, sustainable ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible. As part of our philosophy towards food, we think its extremely important to strike the right balance between great food and value for money. We believe we have achieved this by ensuring everything possible is created in-house by our talented chefs and bakers.
All of our food is freshly prepared to order every day by our highly experienced chefs using our favourite recipes. Along with our menu we also endeavour to create a unique and exciting daily specials board. We like to make the most of seasonal ingredients when they become available and our specials board reflects this. On key dates such as Pancake Day, Mother's Day amongst others, we create a unique menu to celebrate.
We also offer a selection of meals for vegetarians and are more than happy to make substitutions wherever possible to suit any dietary requirements. Please ask a member of staff and they will do all they can to make sure you are accommodated.
Our chefs also produce, in-house, a range of savoury baked goods that are served in our tea room and also sold individually in our Farm Shop. These delicacies included deep filled pies, quiches, flips, sausage rolls and pork pies.
There is nothing quite as good as a freshly prepared pot of tea or ground coffee which is why all of our staff are barista trained to ensure the highest degree of quality.
We took a great deal of care (and many drinks worth of research) to decide on the best tea, coffee and hot chocolate suppliers to provide for our customers. We decided to use Chartley Coffee, based in Staffordshire, for both our coffee and hot chocolate because we were really impressed with their quality and believe it is an excellent reflection of our own ethos and desire to support local businesses. We have even had a special Jacksons blend of coffee developed which we now serve in the tea room and is available to purchase separately in our farm shop.
We also use Yorkshire Tea because there is nothing more important than a good quality, consistent brew that meets the taste demands of all of our customers.
Our cakes and deserts form a huge part of what we do here at Jacksons Nurseries with fresh stock being baked on site daily by our dedicated baking staff who have years of experience. We provide our bakers with the best flour, the freshest fruit, the richest chocolate and the finest sugar to ensure our sweet treats are the best around with new cake flavours constantly being created and refined.
We always have a great selection of brownies, cakes, cheesecakes, desserts, puddings and tray bakes available in our tea room to enjoy after a meal or on its own with a cup of tea or coffee. You can also take away a slice of cake if you can't quite manage a slice while you're here and many of our amazing cakes are also available to buy in our farm shop.
Served between 12:00pm - 4:00pm daily, our afternoon tea has proven to be extremely popular since its introduction to our tea room.
There is no better place to enjoy afternoon tea than in our tea room especially during the summer months when afternoon tea can be enjoyed, al fresco, on our decking area with views looking out over the garden centre and Staffordshire toward the Peak District.
As well as traditional afternoon tea we also offer a festive afternoon tea exclusively throughout December for a touch of Christmas spirit.
Don't just take our word for it, we are lucky enough to enjoy lots of repeat customers and here is a little about what they have to say about us.
