Snowdrop Bulbs (Galanthus)

Snowdrops are known as the Heralds of Spring, coming into flower when winter is still very much in effect. They look deceptively dainty but will stand up to freezing temperatures and cold, icy winds. Their combination of delicacy and resilience can help inspire any gardener to venture outside when it seems tempting to stay indoors with a warm cup of tea! Snowdrops lend themselves well to growing in drifts under turf to help naturalise and beautify grassed areas and look equally beautiful when grown at the front of borders, flower beds and containers on the patio. They don’t mind a moist soil providing the drainage is good and can often be found growing close to streams in the British countryside.
