The impressive fruit quality features dark purple fruit with smooth, amber flesh, perfect for fresh eating, preserves, baking, and gourmet culinary applications. Loaded with calcium, magnesium, potassium, and fibre, figs are definitely a superfood, ensuring harvests that satisfy both taste and nutritional requirements.

Perfect Compact Proportions

The Little Miss Figgy Fig tree makes it super simple to grow your own figs. This Fig tree is the smallest variety you can find making it perfect for container growing. The tree only grows four to six feet tall and three to four feet wide, which makes it ideal for containers or small gardens. This perfect combination of compact height and manageable spread makes it suitable for diverse landscape applications whilst maximising productive growing space in even the smallest gardens.

Outstanding Ornamental Appeal

Beyond its fruiting excellence, Little Miss Figgy offers exceptional garden interest with its deeply lobed, blue-green leaves and attractive rounded shrub form. The tree has distinct round, dark green leaves, creating beautiful foliage displays throughout the growing season. Great as a low-water ornamental and edible; can be grown as a rounded shrub, providing structural interest and seasonal beauty that enhances any garden design.

Self-Fertile Convenience

Little Miss Figgy is self-fertile, meaning individual plants will produce abundant crops without requiring pollination partners. This convenience makes it perfect for single-plant gardens or container growing situations where space is limited. The self-fertile nature combined with heavy productivity ensures reliable harvests regardless of garden size or configuration.

Versatile Growing Requirements

It thrives in full sun, requiring at least six hours of direct sunlight each day for optimal fruit production. Plant in full sun in well drained soil, making it adaptable to diverse garden situations. This variety is also drought-tolerant once established, making it a low-maintenance choice for gardeners who want fresh figs without extensive upkeep. This flexibility makes it suitable for various garden positions whilst maintaining exceptional productivity.

Container Growing Excellence

The smallest variety you can find making it perfect for container growing, Little Miss Figgy excels in pots, containers, and patio growing situations. The compact habit and manageable size create attractive displays whilst the productive capacity ensures abundant harvests from limited space. Container growing allows precise control of growing conditions and creates stunning ornamental features for patios, balconies, and small gardens.

Harvesting Excellence

Do not harvest your figs until they are ripe indicated by a rich purple/brown hue and a fruit that has some give. Once picked, figs stop ripening. The medium-sized fruit makes harvesting straightforward whilst the abundant production provides generous yields from each plant. The sweet flavour and tender texture when properly ripened ensure premium quality for fresh consumption and culinary applications.

Annual Care Programme

Water regularly during the first year to aid the plant in establishing a strong root system, frequency should be cut back once established. Needs more water in the growing season than in the fall. This low maintenance, miniature Fig will WOW you with minimal intervention beyond appropriate watering and occasional feeding. The drought-tolerant nature once established reduces maintenance requirements whilst supporting consistent productivity.

Pest and Disease Management

Little Miss Figgy is a disease and pest resistant variety of fig, providing natural resilience against common problems. The hardy nature requires minimal intervention whilst proper site selection and care prevent most issues. Good air circulation and appropriate spacing support healthy growth patterns and reduce disease pressure.

Buying Fruit Trees/Bushes from Jacksons Nurseries

Our trees might be Freshly Potted and the root system may not be fully established, and loose soil may occur when unpacking.

Unlike many garden centres, supermarkets and some nurseries here at Jacksons Nurseries we sell the majority of our stock all year round. Our stock is for the most part grown outdoors making it far hardier than those grown under glass and/or only sold ‘In Season’.

Here at Jacksons Nurseries we would favour a hardy outdoor grown plant every time. They are far less likely to suffer from the shock of being planted in colder conditions and they will begin to establish more rapidly the following spring. This can mean that they don’t look like a ‘picture perfect’ plant when purchased out of season but with the correct care and a little time you’ll have a wonderful plant to enjoy for many years to come.
