Important Notice about Our Pot Grown Christmas Trees

Our pot grown trees are raised in special growing pots that are sunk into the ground in the growing field, rather than standing on the surface like conventional container-grown plants. The pots are perforated with tiny holes that keep the tree's main root system contained inside the pot, while allowing finer roots and root hairs to grow through and draw water and nutrients from the surrounding soil. This means the tree develops a dense, healthy root ball inside its pot, and when it is lifted the fine roots outside the pot part cleanly with no damage to the main root system. The result is a stronger, better-established tree than can be achieved in a standard pot, which is why our trees settle so well in the home and can be planted out or grown on in a container after Christmas. The pots are black. We endeavour to clean the pots after lifting from our fields, though they are best unpacked outdoors before you bring the tree into your home. Our potted trees are supplied with the pots wrapped in plastic for safe transit. Many customers choose to put the growing pot inside a decorative outer pot when displaying the tree in their home (decorative pot not supplied as part of potted tree purchase).
