Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly in pre-watered, shallow, short rows, lightly covering the seeds with soil. Keep the seedbed moist at all times.
Planting Out
Plant out from May onwards into their cropping position when plants are about 15cm (6in) tall. Make planting holes with a dibber to avoid damaging the growing tip 5cm (2in) deep 20cm (8in) apart in rows 45cm (18in) apart.
Aftercare
Keep well watered after transplanting and in dry spells.
