Aster 'Little Carlow' is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial that has won the RHS award of Garden Merit. Flowering from August until the end of October it produces masses of uplifting, single, daisy like flowers of violet-blue colour with eye catching rich golden yellow centres. These flowers are born on the end of soft stems feathered with narrow dark green leaves from the ground up.
This later flowering period is excellent for maintaining colour in the garden after many other plants have finished flowering for the season. Asters are attractive to local wildlife and are generally pest free. They are also valued for the quality of their cut flowers.
