Sorbus Lutescens
AKA Mountain Ash
A beautiful, deciduous tree with striking, creamy-white leaves that appear on purple shoots in early summer. These have white undersides and gradually darken to grey-green during the summer. It makes a prominent, eye-catching feature in the garden during the spring bearing masses of white flowers that are produced in clusters from April to May. The flowers are followed by charming, berry-like, orange-red to scarlet fruit that ripens in early autumn. A compact, medium-sized variety that maintains its strong and distinctive shape with little pruning.
