Pyrus calleryana chanticleer
AKA Ornamental Pear Tree

Ornamental Pear Trees, or Pyrus calleryana chanticleer, is a wonderful ornamental pear with glossy, dark green leaves that provide a perfect backdrop for masses of nectar-rich, white spring flowers. Highly attractive to bees and butterflies, ‘Chanticleer’ also boasts stunning autumn foliage colours in vivid shades of reds and oranges before falling. It has an upright, conical stature, perfect for small urban gardens or lining the sides of avenues. Prefers a well drained soil in a sunny position and will reach a height of 5 metres by spread of 3 metres  after 20 years.
