Campanula bellflower plants
Campanula plants are cheerful perennials with nodding, bell-shaped flower heads, typically in shades of lavender, light blue, pink and white, held high on tall stems above toothed, mid-green leaves. Bellflowers bloom heaviest in late spring to early summer but blooms can flourish right through to October in milder areas, particularly if faded flowers are dead-headed to encourage a second flush of blooms. Thriving in partial shade, ideally with some gentle morning or dappled sun, Bellfowers are perfect for enlivening rockeries, borders, pots or the cottage garden, combining well with other pastel-coloured perennials and old English roses. They can be planted in large groups for maximum impact and make excellent cut flowers.
