Architectural grass plants
Grasses with architectural flair are perfect for adding style and panache to any garden or planting scheme. They can often be used in the border to add shape, structure and stature or, alternatively, grown in pots and containers on the driveway, patio or a decked area. Garden designs often incorporate plants with varying heights, colours and textures and it can be useful to utilise some ‘architectural’ plants to draw the eye and segment different parts of your outdoor space. Larger, tall-growing architectural grasses make excellent informal screens for the interiors of gardens to bring a calming sense of serenity and soften hard landscaping or sharp lines of borders. Fluffy or feathery flower heads bring texture, height and movement while foliage can give borders an uplifting injection of vibrant colour.
