Bamboo plants for hedge or screen
There are several types of bamboo that are ideally suited for hedging purposes. Bamboos evergreen, fast growing and hardy characteristics make it ideal for a solid screen and there are some varieties which are tall growing but not excessively so. If you choose to grow a running bamboo as hedging, be sure to restrict the root growth to avoid runners springing up in unwanted parts of your (or a neighbours) garden. Bamboo hedging provides movement and an oriental feel to your gardens perimeter.
