Campanula Bellflower plants
Campanula alpines produce an abundance of distinctive, upturned, open bell-shaped flowers in hues of pink and white, mainly lavender and light blue. The cheery, nodding blooms are borne above heart-shaped, mid-green leaves from early summer right through to the first frost. Bellflowers are perfect in raised beds, used as edging or in a rockery and lower growing varieties make great ground-cover plants. Best in full sun. Choose Campanula 'Pearl Deep Blue' (replaces the older 'Blue Clips') for larger open light blue blooms, great for filling gaps in the rockery; or Campanula 'White Clips' for stunning, almost pure white flowers. Campanula portenschlagianais is our violet-blue variety with flowers borne on stems rising above the foliage.
