Hardy rose plants

Known for their beauty and fragrance, roses are synonymous with the typical English country garden in the summer. When positioned in full sun, roses will grow healthier and produce more full blooms. And though most roses prefer direct sunlight, making them ideal for bright spots in the garden, there are exceptions to the rule – roses that are hardier and that can flourish in more shaded areas. Rose 'Blanche Double de Coubert' is a vigorous upright shrub with prickly stems and glossy mid-green leaves. It produces a highly fragrant rose with pure white semi-double flowers from summer to autumn. Its upright habit makes it the perfect rose for a small hedge. This rose has been known to survive during even the harshest of winters, making it ideal for an exposed garden. Alternatively, Rose ‘Suffolk’ is a ground cover rose, best for garden borders. It produces single, beautiful scarlet-red bloom throughout summer and autumn, with a mid-green foliage.
