Check Here Before Buying – Pot Size Matters...Not all websites offer the same. Plants in a 2-litre pot have twice the root system of a P9 or 1 litre pot.
Cropping up to two weeks earlier than the famous Onward variety.
Early Onward yields a heavy crop of dark green, blunt ended pods.
Needs minimal support.
Sowing Time
February - May
Sowing Outdoors
Make a flat bottomed drill 15cm (6in) wide and water it well. Sow about ten seeds per 30cm (12in), spacing them evenly in a zigzag manner. Cover with about 2cm (1in) of soil, and firm it down with the flat edge of a rake. Allow about 60cm (24in) between rows.
Support
As the peas start to grow, support them with canes and nettling or a similar structure to that used for runner beans. The plants will reach a height of up to 60cm (24in).
Aftercare
Keep well watered, especially in dry spells.
Harvest
From May to August, depending on sowing time.
