Where to Sow
Sow outside from April, water the soil then sow the seeds straight into the soil, keep soil moist. Sow 1cm (1/2in) deep and cover with a little soil. You can also sow seeds 1cm (1/2in) deep in little pots of seed compost indoors from March. When plants are a few centimetres tall, stand outside to get used to outdoor conditions before planting out or putting on the patio in pots.
Remember
Keep them watered. For salads all summer long sow a pinch of seeds every few weeks.
