Climbing plants with pink flowers
Climbing plants with pink flowers can range from soft, pastel to deep, rich and vibrant hues. There are a wide range of pink bloomers among the clematis variety, including some of our favourites such as Clematis Elizabeth with its pale pink petals and yellow centres, the slightly nodding flowers of Clematis Buckland Beauty and the striking two-tone blossoms of Clematis Nelly Moser. Alternatively, Clematis Ville de Lyon is really a red variety but prominently flushed with pinkish-white along the centre of each petal while Clematis montana Rubens (Group 1) is a vigorous, deciduous variety producing sweetly scented pale pink satin blooms in May and June. There are a couple of fabulous pink flowering honeysuckle twining climbers as well with their informal, nectar-rich, cartwheel shaped blooms. Two of the best are Lonicera Belgica with wonderful, tubular individual flowers which emerge creamy-yellow before gradually darkening to apricot and then rose-pink and Lonicera Chic et Choc, a charming semi-evergreen with a compact growth habit suitable for container.
