Native to the Caucasus mountains in Georgia and southern Russia, the Nordmann Fir (Abies nordmanniana) has seen a steady rise in popularity to become the most popular Christmas tree in the UK. The tree has a consistently symmetrical growth habit with a wide base that gently curves upwards towards the ends of the lower branches, leaving plenty of space for presents underneath.
A luxurious tree with thick, soft, glossy needles that are dark green on top with a blue hue underneath creating an interesting and dynamic two-tone appearance. The pots supplied are intended to keep some soil around the roots of the trees that have been trimmed to get them into the pot.
