Adam's Needle
Yucca filamentosa Bright Edge
This is a striking, low-maintenance grass with stiff, strap-like, bright green leaves that are edged with a wide band of creamy-yellow, intensifying to bright gold during the summer. Producing a spectacular display of erect flower spikes which host creamy-white, bell-shaped blooms, it creates a focal point and helps to give a Mediterranean feel to the garden. It forms a large, evergreen rosette of leathery, sword-shaped leaves decorated with long curly threads or "filaments" that peel back as the leaf grows, eventually dropping off on older leaves.
