Lesser Perwinkle
Vinca minor
Attractive, pale violet-blue flowers which are produced on arching stems from mid-spring to early autumn. This is a fantastic, prostrate evergreen sub shrub which forms a creeping matt of pointed, glossy mid-green leaves. It’s perfect for using as a groundcover plant in smaller spaces, for example in the shaded areas under the canopies of small trees where few other plants would survive. It also looks great when allowed to trail out of window boxes, containers or hanging baskets. A medium rate of growth makes this variety less vigorous and easier to control than Vinca major.
