Greater Perwinkle
Vinca major Variegata
A beautiful, evergreen trailing vine with broadly oval, pale green leaves which are attractively edged with creamy-yellow. It’s a prostrate variety producing large, violet-blue blooms which gradually fade to white in the centre. These flowers are borne on arching stems from April right through to September, often being used in floral arrangements. It’s a great choice for brightening up the shaded areas under the canopies of trees or filling in where few other plants would survive. An invasive, low-maintenance variety which makes an excellent ground-covering weed suppressant that can be easily trimmed back as required.
