Greater Periwinkle
Vinca major
An attractive, evergreen trailing vine with broadly oval, glossy mid-green leaves and grand, deep violet blooms which gradually fade to white in the centre. It’s a prostrate variety that’s very vigorous and makes an excellent ground-covering weed suppressant. The flowers are produced on arching stems in mid-spring and last throughout the summer into early autumn.
