Laurustinus
Viburnum tinus Eve Price
This is a versatile, low maintenance, bushy evergreen shrub with waxy, broadly oval, glossy dark green leaves on reddish-brown stems. It produces deliciously scented, handsome clusters of tiny, star-shaped, pink-flushed white flowers which emerge from striking, deep carmine-pink buds between December and April. Perfect for adding winter interest to shrub borders or containers when most other plants are dormant, it makes a lovely, informal flowering hedge and can be used as an evergreen backdrop for ornamental and feature plants. It has a compact, dome-shaped habit with a Mediterranean appearance and displays small, metallic, blue-black berries in the autumn
