Thyme
Thymus Aurea
This is a beautiful, variegated shrubby herb bearing stunning, small pink blooms from June to July that are attractive to bees and butterflies. It has fantastic, sweetly-scented, gold and green foliage. Looking fantastic when grown as a hedge around an herb garden instead of using Buxus Sempervirens, it can also be grown in groups under roses or shrubs in a border and acts as an excellent weed suppressant. It is easy to grow providing it is sited in well-drained soil – even the top of a low rock wall is suitable.
