Common Yew
Taxus baccata (3 Tier Balls Topiary)
Yew lends itself to topiary because it is very hardy, small leaved and slow growing. Superb architectural topiary adds finesse and interest to any garden and is practically stunning either side of doorways, garden paths, pergola entrances and patios.

Can be expected to display approximately 10 to 15cm of new growth per year under ideal conditions. Its height and spread can be kept at any desired size with annual pruning
Hardiness:
Fully hardy: stands a temperature down to -15°C
Garden Care:
Feed with Osmacote type fertilizer or Vital Earth Chicken Poo in April and July. Trim 2 or 3 times per annum to maintain neat sharp outline. If kept in a pot or planter ensure the soil/ ericaceous compost mix is kept moist but not waterlogged and is not allowed to dry out completely.
