Lamb's Ear
Stachys byzantina(lanata)
This is a beautiful, ground-covering, deciduous variety grown for its attractive, fluffy, silvery-grey foliage and lovely, soft purple flowers which are produced off the main stems from June to September. Perfect for naturalising the front of a sunny, well-drained border, it forms a mat of soft, woolly-textured leaves that stay on the plant until very late in the season and look best when allowed to spread freely in between other plants. It incorporates well into cottage or gravel gardens and looks stunning when grown around the edge of a border or path. Reasonably drought tolerant once established, it cannot tolerate excess water and won’t grow in ground that ‘puddles’.

If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly
