Japanese Skimmia
Skimmia japonica Veitchii (Foremanii)
Rich green waxy aromatic evergreen leaves disguise small but dense clusters of white star shaped flowers in mid and late spring, followed by waxy bright red spherical berries. Do not ingest.

Garden Care:
Water fully on planting and during establishment. Plant with skimmia rubella or "fragrans" for berries. Mulch with ericaceous compost and give Osmocote type fertilizer each spring. Requires no pruning, trim to available space in spring.
