Stonecrop
Sedum Purple Carpet
This is a wonderful, vigorous evergreen perennial with an ornamental appearance and attractive, rounded, deep plum-purple foliage. It produces masses of stunning, star-shaped, dark purplish-red flowers which are produced in clusters and clothe the plant in a beautiful display May to August. It’s perfect for adding a splash of colour to unsightly patches of bare soil in the garden or for using in rock gardens, containers or wall niches. Tolerant of hot, dry spots of the garden, Sedums will also attract bees and butterflies to the garden and look lovely in hanging baskets or between stepping stones.

Feed once a year in the spring with a slow release fertiliser to encourage new growth to develop. Please Note: Although all our perennials are advertised as being sold in 1 litre containers, they are sometimes stocked in 9cm pots instead (particularly during the winter). If you order perennials from us, we reserve the right to supply them in 9cm pots instead of 1 litre containers, at a price of £2.50 instead of £3.80. Between November and March many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means they are sold as a root, corm or bulb with no top growth. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in the spring.
