Kilmarnock Willow
Salix caprea Kilmarnock
A delightful, deciduous weeping tree which makes an excellent choice to accent a deck, patio or pond. Our plants are supplied grafted onto a root stock to form a densely-crowned, weeping tree with a dense head of stiff, yellow-brown pendulous shoots. Large and fluffy, golden-yellow catkins cloak the bare branches between March and April, helping to add a splash of colour and interest to the garden before the dark green leaves start to emerge. The catkins are excellent for using in cut flower arrangements.
