Black Eyed Susan
Rudbeckia fulgida var sullivantii Goldsturm
Beautiful, golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers with prominent, strongly-contrasting black centres are produced on tall, erect stems from July right through until early October. This is a vibrant, colourful and eye-catching perennial with a reliable, upright growth habit and attractively toothed, mid-green leaves. As a highlight of the summer border, it is excellent for growing in bold drifts between other perennials and ornamental grasses or planting ‘in masse’ in large groups. The long flowering stems also make it a great choice for using as cut flowers, particularly as the blooms remain looking fresh for a long time in a vase.

Incorporate lots of well-rotted organic matter into the backfill when planting. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly
