English Shrub Rose
Rosa Graham Thomas
Handsome, old-fashioned, cupped, paeony-like blooms with a unique, deep golden-apricot colour emerge from attractive, apricot-pink buds from early summer to late autumn. These have a beautiful, fully double appearance and possess a rich, lingering, spicy tea-like fragrance. This is an extremely vigorous, English shrub rose with a strong disease resistance and glossy, mid-green leaves. Its lax, arching growth habit and unusual flower colour makes it well suited to a cottage garden environment or for growing as a climber up a short support. Named after a leading authority on old-fashioned roses, it became immediately popular after its introduction in 1983 and is still one of the best-selling shrub varieties today
