Hybrid Rhododendron
Rhododendron President Roosevelt
This is an unusual, striking variety with trusses of frilly, bright red flowers which fade to white in the centre. These are extremely showy and are produced in conical clusters above the beautiful, variegated foliage between May and June. The flowers make it ideal for growing as a specimen plant or for incorporating into a front garden border where it can be enjoyed by everyone. It can also be grown as a foliage plant as it forms a dense mass of thick, glossy, dark green leaves with irregular, yellow-green variegation in the centre.
