Hybrid Rhododendron
Rhododendron Lord Roberts
This very attractive Rhododendron bears deep red, funnel shaped flowers with a dark throat, the foliage is plentiful and deep green with a crinkled edge to the leaf. Very impressive shrub. Strong growing, upright habit which is useful to block a view or use as a centrepiece.

Garden Care:
Be careful not to plant too deep and incorporate lots of peat in the planting hole. Apply a generous woodchip mulch in summer to help the plant retain moisture and to protect the root from overheating. During the first growing season, water regularly in periods of dry weather to establish a deep, extensive root system and feed with an acid fertiliser after the plant has flowered. Routine pruning is not required.
