Mugo Pine
Pinus Mugo Winter Gold
This is an attractive, dwarf evergreen conifer with a neat, globular to rounded growth habit and dark green, needle-like foliage. It is an extremely slow growing conifer whose neat appearance makes it a fine specimen for foundation plantings and rock gardens. In late autumn the foliage takes on a brilliant shade of bright golden-yellow which is retained nicely throughout the winter. Its slow growth rate makes it a low maintenance choice for the front of a small, mixed border in an urban location.
