Mock Orange
Philadelphus Manteau d'Hermine
This is a fantastic, dwarf shrub with arching shoots and fabulously fragrant, fully double blooms. The pure-white flowers unfurl above a compact mound of tapered, mid-green leaves just as spring blooming shrubs are finishing their display. Perfect for smaller gardens where space is limited, it should be planted near entrances and paths to allow the sweet, orange blossom fragrance to by fully appreciated. A deciduous variety that’s easy-to-grow, suitable for poor soils and resistant to disease and urban pollution.
