Pear
Pear Concorde

An excellent pear with sweet and juicy, yellow flesh and pale green skin which ripens to yellow with gold or brown russeting. This is a versatile, modern dessert pear that will produce consistently heavy crops in most locations. It is a cross between Conference and Doyenne du Comice with a compact growth habit.

Position: Prefers Full sun

Soil: A fertile, well-drained soil

Rate of Growth: Slow

Other Features: It starts producing fruit when its very young, so you don’t have to wait several years for your first crop. Pollination group: C

Hardiness: Fully hardy: stands a temperature down to -15°C

Garden Care: Most pears drop source fruit in late summer. Aid this by thinning out to 1 pear per cluster to ensure good size development. Add slow release fertilizer (Osmacote) in spring to ensure good flower display that will lead to a plentiful crop of pears.
