Heavenly Bamboo
Nandina domestica Fire Power
A compact evergreen shrub of truly year round interest, in spring and summer, most of the leaves are green with occasional bright red and scarlet leaves. In mid summer, small white star shaped flowers contrast the bamboo like leaves (hence the name). As colder weather approaches in autumn the leaves take on fiery red and copper hues followed by bright scarlet fruits as autumn processes into winter.
