Crab Apple
Malus Tschonoskii
A strong-growing variety with attractive, pink-tinged, white flowers which clothe the tree between May and June. These are produced above large, toothed, silvery-white young foliage that darkens with age and takes on spectacular shades of orange, purple, scarlet and yellow during the autumn. The flowers are followed by small, yellowish-red fruits that persist right through to January, adding valuable colour and interest to the winter garden. It forms a small, upright tree with a columnar growth habit.
