Fragrant bright creamy-white flowers from silken buds before the deciduous narrow deep green leaves form on a superb compact shrub.

Prefers partial shade
Soil:
Fertile, well drained and humus rich. Add manure and leaf mould on planting.

Other Features:
Superb fragrant burst of colour that can be grown where other magnolias would get too big.

Fully hardy: stands a temperature down to -15°C
Garden Care:
Add organic material (from manure and leaf mould) on planting. Cut out only crossed and unwanted branches. Prune heavily. Add Osmocote type fertilizer each year in early spring. Water well during establishment.
