Snowy Woodrush
Luzula nivea
This is a delightful, tuft-forming evergreen grass with pointed, fresh green leaves that have black tips and are perfect for adding architectural flare to the garden or patio. It produces an abundance of white, spiky flowers in loose, arching panicles between June and July. These contrast well with the dark green leaves and can be dried for long-lasting indoor displays. Perfect for growing in a container on the patio to provide structure or for using as a groundcover plant in shaded areas, it has a slow-spreading growth habit and will tolerant full sun providing it’s in a moist soil.
