Golden Privet
Ligustrum ovalifolium Aureum
This is a popular, semi-evergreen variety with beautiful yellow and green variegated leaves which forms a beautiful, dense, formal hedge. It produces an abundance of lovely, creamy-white flowers in mid-summer followed by small black fruits in the autumn. Although fast growing, it is less vigorous than the green variety and shows approximately 20cm of new growth per year. Its resistance to air pollution and tolerance of a wide range of soils and conditions makes it perfect for using in urban areas.
