Juniper Blue Carpet
Juniperus squamata Blue Carpet
This is an attractive, slow growing conifer with a low, spreading growth habit. Striking, needle-like blue-grey foliage is aromatic and fresh and its prostrate habit makes ‘Blue Carpet’ particularly well suited to cascade or semi-cascade styles. Its vibrant foliage colour also makes it useful for using as a classy ground cover plant, rarely exceeding 30cm off the ground yet spreading 2-3 metres wide if allowed. It must be kept well watered during the growing season and in periods of hot, dry weather.
