Chameleon Plant
Houttuynia Chameleon
Striking, ivy-like, heart-shaped leaves with wide, irregular margins of red, bronze, cream and yellow that contrast well with the otherwise green leaf blade. This is a vigorous, deciduous, mat-forming variety bearing simple, pure white flowers with prominent, yellow-green centres from June to July. Excellent for using as groundcover and contrasting well with plain green-leaves plants, it looks stunning when weaved in and out of other moisture-loving perennials in a moist border, bog garden or beside a pond. The red variegation is less pronounced in the shade, leaving a less flashy, yet still very attractive, golden-edged foliage plant. Adaptable to poor, compacted and dry soils, it spreads most vigorously by underground runners in moist conditions

If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly
