Plantain Lily
Hosta Wide Brim
Striking, wavy, heart-shaped, deep bluish-green leaves with beautiful, irregular creamy-yellow margins, perfect for brightening up the partially shaded border. Arguably one of the best hostas available, this is a distinctive, low-maintenance variety bearing unusual spikes of open-faced, pale lavender-blue blooms from July to August. It’s very popular for landscape use and makes a great choice for growing in dappled shade, tubs, patio pots or containers. The leaves help to add movement to the garden, becoming heavily puckered and taking on golden tints when mature. We recommend taking appropriate protective measures against slug damage and applying a nitrogen-rich fertiliser from March to June.

If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly
