Hibiscus
Hibiscus syriacus Blue Bird
An exotic, deciduous shrub with an upright, vase-shape that can be kept to any desired size with annual pruning. Massive, vibrant blue flowers with a stunning splash of deep red in the centre and creamy-white stamens are borne on sturdy stems from August through to October. These look their best in full sun and are produced above three-lobed, bright green leaves. It can also be trained as a miniature tree by preserving only a central trunk.
