Black Hellebore / Christmas Rose
Helleborus niger
This is a stunning, semi-evergreen, clump forming perennial bearing wonderful, white, bowl-shaped flowers which are often pink-flushed from February to April. These have attractive yellow anthers and appear upturned on short stems, perfect for brightening up dark February days. It has handsome, deeply cut, leathery dark green leaves and is perfect for the cottage garden or adding a splash of colour to the front of a partially shaded mixed border, particularly as it is very early flowering. Winner of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit

If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly
