Common Rockrose
Helianthemum Ben Hope
This is a long-flowering, spreading, evergreen rock rose which produces masses of stunning, crimson pink flowers with golden-orange centres that clothe the entire plant from May to August. These have attractive, crinkled petals and contrast beautifully with the grey-green leaves. Excellent for the south slope of a rock garden, it’s exotic appearance also makes it great for using in pots and containers or combining with grasses to attract bees and butterflies to the garden.

Named after a mountain in Scotland, for in Scotland and Ireland a mountain or high hill is called a ben. It was created in Dundee by John Nicoll and is part of the “Ben” series of Sun Roses

Garden Care:
Water well before planting and sheer back lightly after flowering to maintain a tidy appearance and induce fresh new growth to develop.Please Note:Many perennials go ‘dormant’ which, in some cases, means that there is little or no top growth apparent between November and March. If you order perennials whilst they are dormant, they may not be visible above the soil level when purchased but will burst into life in spring. In the dormant period, we may not have stocks of all varieties in all pot sizes and therefore reserve the right to supply 9cm pots instead of 1 or 2 litre plants and adjust the price down accordingly.
