Shrubby Veronica
Hebe ochracea James Stirling
This is a slow-growing, flat-topped, hardy shrub which produces tiny flowers at the branch tips in early summer. It is normally grown for its remarkable, minute, old-gold coloured foliage which closely covers the branches all year-round. The branches arch into a compact vase-shape, similar to a dwarf juniper but a step upward in real elegance. It can be grown successfully in a container and is reasonably drought-hardy.
