Shrubby Veronica
Hebe Red Edge
A small, mound-forming variety that bears masses of lilac flower spikes between June and July. These compliment the small flashy, blue-green leaves which are set of by fine, purple-red margins. It has a low, spreading growth habit with stiff branches, making it ideal for growing in groups at the front of sunny borders. It’s also ideal for using as an edging plant or growing as an informal, flowering hedge. The flowers look most spectacular when it’s grown in full sun in a position that’s sheltered from cold, drying winds. Hardier than other varieties, ‘Red Edge’ has won the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
